Veterans and wives of defenders complete business training course in Lviv

The second group of the New Horizons: Military in Business project has completed its training at the Lviv City Council. For 10 days, 22 participants, including 12 veterans and ten wives of defenders, learned the business tools needed to start and develop their own businesses.

The participants have ideas to develop their own businesses in the areas of services, landscape design, tactical clothing, development of defence components, opening a bicycle café, and a mental health space.

During the course of the training, the participants developed their business plan, conducted a SWOT analysis, gained grantwriting skills for international funds, learned how to fill out a business plan for an ERobot grant application, and learned how to build a marketing strategy.

The project participants also visited one of Lviv’s successful businesses and got acquainted with its operations.

“We are sincerely pleased with the success of our participants and wish them rapid growth, development, and scaling of their businesses,” says project coordinator Yulia Voytekhova.

The New Horizons: Military in Business project is implemented by the Economic Development Department of the Lviv City Council in cooperation with the City’s Entrepreneurship Support Centre with financial support from the Press, Education and Culture Section of the U.S. Embassy Kyiv Ukraine.
