On June 23, Lviv hosted the XXI International Conference “Fat&Oil Industry-2023”.

Over 150 representatives of the oil-fat segment from 14 countries around the world took part in the conference, including processors, producers, exporters, agricultural holdings, and Galuzev organizations.

At the conference, they discussed alternative routes to exports, global changes in the geography of pine oil exports, changes in the structure of olive and grain production, new projects and the investment climate, etc.

As part of the Lviv Regional Administration, the conference was attended by the intercessor of the head of the Lviv Regional Administration, Yuriy Buchko, and the director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the LOVA, Tetyana Hetman.

“The large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation has significantly affected the export of Ukrainian products. Trade routes to the export of products have changed. Due to the blockage of ports, a lot of products were exported through the Lviv region by transport and road transport.

It is an honor for us to receive such a visit to the terrain of our region!

I mean that the Lviv region is not a great producer of tribal cultures, but over the past few years the production in the region has been growing, and in our country tribal cultures are growing over 800 dominions! The largest area of the vegetable crops is occupied by soybeans, which now grow over 500 agricultural enterprises. Also, more than 50 subjects of the government are involved in the production of oil and fats,” Yuriy Butchko said at the moment of vital importance.

Tetyana Getman became a participant in the discussion session “Wiki for exporters. The main problems and methods of development.”

“In the Lviv region, in the structure of sowing of oley crops, half of the area is occupied by soybeans, a third of the sowing area is occupied by repaks, the third by sowing dormouse and other oley crops. We export cheese, which creates a huge amount of waste in other countries, which falls on the shelves of our supermarkets. In 2023, within the framework of the Comprehensive Program of Support and Development of the Agricultural Dominion of the Lviv Region for 2021-2025, one of the important directions was the provision for other producers of soft loans at 3% for the population objects with the added value, which also accelerated enterprises, grow and refinish soy,” the director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of LOVA took part in the discussion.
