Thermal waters will be searched for in the vicinity of the village of Maidan in Zhovkva district to build a recreational and tourist complex

A medical company is planning to build wells to discover underground thermal waters on the outskirts of the village of Maidan.

This is stated in a report on the environmental impact assessment procedure published on the website of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

The private company Medical Technologies plans to construct two exploration wells No. 1 and No. 2 within the Maidanska Square subsoil area, which is located on the outskirts of the village of Maidan in Zhovkva UTC, to detect underground thermal waters.

The maximum depth of the wells is up to 1550 m. If thermal waters are found, they will be used for the needs of the recreational and tourist complex.

The wells will be drilled on four land plots that the company will lease.

According to the report, the new wells will contribute to filling local budgets and improving the overall socio-economic situation in the area and employment of the local population.

According to the YouControl analytical system, Medical Technologies has been registered since 2001 in the village of Maidan in Zhovkva ATC and is engaged in general medical practice. The owner of the company is Natalia Gurska-Kuchma, a resident of Lviv. She also owns two Lviv-based construction firms, Garnobud LLC and Promo-Dom PE.
