Veterans in the Lviv region can apply for business grants of up to 10,000 euros for starting a small business

Veterans and their family members are invited to submit applications for participation in the competition for the provision of business grants within the project “Reintegration of war veterans through the creation of educational opportunities”. The winners will receive a grant of up to 10,000 euros to start a small business.

The German Association of Adult Education – Institute of International Cooperation (DVV International in Ukraine) announces a competition for war veterans and their family members to provide business grants for opening small businesses in 7 regions of Ukraine: Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Nikopol, Poltava , Sumy.

The size of the grant provided to one recipient (one grant per family) is determined according to the amount of the request and cannot exceed: 10,000 euros (at the NBU exchange rate on the day of payment of invoices).

Who can become a participant in the business grant competition:

● a citizen of Ukraine over the age of 18 who is already an individual entrepreneur or ready to start his own small business and who belongs to:

1. participants in hostilities (a participant in hostilities means natural persons in the sense given in clauses 11, 19-24 of the first part of article 6 of the Law of Ukraine “On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection”, limited to the period of actions from April 12 2014 to November 30, 2023);

2. persons with disabilities as a result of the war (a person with a disability as a result of the war means natural persons in the meaning given in clauses 1, 4, 7, 11-13 of the second part of Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection”, limited to the period of action from April 12, 2014 to November 30, 2023);

3. or are participants in the war (participants in the war are natural persons in the sense, in accordance with paragraph 13 of Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine “On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection”, limited to the period of actions from April 12, 2014 to November 30, 2023 year);

4. or belong to family members of war veterans (family members mean: wife, husband or child of a veteran, combatant or person with a disability as a result of war, limited to the period of actions from April 12, 2014 to 30 November 2023).

● who lives and plans to do business in the following 7 target regions of Ukraine: Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Nikopol, Poltava, Sumy.

After completing the application for participation, participants who meet the conditions of the competition will be sent an application package of documents to fill out. Among them are templates:

● business plan with explanatory comments;

● tables for calculations;

● an explanation of procurement within the framework of the competition.

The completed application package of documents from participants is accepted until December 4, 2023 inclusive (until December 4, 2023, 11:59 p.m.) to the email address: veteranproject@dvv-international.org.ua

All application packages of documents received after December 4, 2023 will not participate in the business grant competition.

Please note that only one application is accepted from one person or family.

The decision to provide a business grant is made by the competitive expert commission.

The announcement of the results of the competitive selection of business grants will be made public between December 15 and 20, 2023, on the official website of DVV International in Ukraine: https://www.dvv-international.org.ua/uk/
