34 years ago, a blue-yellow flag was raised over the Town Hall in Lviv

“Lviv, April 3, 34 years ago. A blue-yellow flag is raised above the Town Hall. Such a decision was made by the deputies of the 1st democratic convocation of the Lviv City Council during the session.

And on the square in front of the Town Hall, a specially invited choir solemnly performs the National Anthem of Ukraine together with the people of Lviv.

After the historic event, many people prayed, cried, emotionally shared their impressions and for a long time
did not differ.

Where there is the State Flag of Ukraine, there is Ukraine.

We thank those who had the courage to raise this symbol even before the declaration of the restoration of the independence of our state.

An earthly bow and great respect to our defenders, who today, at the cost of their health, and sometimes their lives, return this flag to where it should be.

We thank those people who, being in temporary occupation, protect our flag and wait for the return of Ukraine. Ukraine will definitely return and return everything that belongs to it,” said the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.
