As the employees of police department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 established, on January 20, around 4:45 p.m., near one of the cafes on Kos-Anatolskyi Street in Lviv, a 36-year-old man from Lviv, during a conflict, stabbed his acquaintance, also a resident of Lviv, in the neck with a folding knife. aged 26 years.

Later, doctors diagnosed the victim with a “penetrating stab wound to the neck”, he is currently in intensive care. The attacker was detained by the police in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The investigators of the territorial unit informed him of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Article 121 (Deliberate grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and soon the court will choose a preventive measure for the suspect.
