British farmers donated 15 cars to the Ukrainian military as part of the “Pickups for Peace” campaign

Among them are SUVs and a mobile dental office.

Today, July 16, farmers from Great Britain, as part of the “Pickups for Peace” campaign, handed over 14 off-road vehicles and a mobile dental office to servicemen of the Air Command of the Zahid Air Command and several other military brigades of the Armed Forces.

Cars were also loaded with humanitarian medical cargo – medicines, tourniquets, hemostatic agents, etc.

Some benefactors personally came to hand over cars to the military. So, Jonathan Mills, one of the participants of the “Pickups for Peace” campaign, donated his second car to the Armed Forces. He noted that this terrible war was not started by Ukraine, so his family wants to help our country.

As Diarmid Johnston, operations director of one of the British agricultural companies, co-coordinator of the action, emphasized, the British understand how important the struggle of the Ukrainian military is.

“We thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine and all those who defend Ukraine. We understand your struggle – you are protecting your families, your children. You are fighting for the entire democratic world, and for us as well. This is very valuable and important to us. We thank you! The main thing is not to stop and continue to fight until victory is achieved. We are going back home, where we will tell everyone more about the need to support you,” said Diarmid Johnston.

The handover of cars took place in cooperation with Lviv OVA and Lviv RVA, to which the participants of the action turned with the offer to hand over cars for the military.

“It is extremely gratifying that even thousands of kilometers away you know about what is happening in Ukraine, and what support it needs, about the challenges and sufferings that exist in our country. Thank you for your help!

Most of all, we want peace, and for this we need victory, which is impossible without joint efforts. And on behalf of our military – once again a low bow for your help. Transport in today’s realities means mobility, saved lives, and the ability to perform combat missions. I am sincerely convinced that every aid, every transport received by our Armed Forces brings our victory closer,” said Andriy Godyk, the first deputy chief of Lviv OVA.

“Ukrainians are now fighting for freedom and life. I am sure that there is no big or small help. Any help is important for Ukraine. A big thank you for your support and for your courage to come to us during the war,” added the head of the Lviv RVA Khrystyna Zamula.

Already today, the military received off-road vehicles and a mobile dental clinic for combat missions.

“Maybe for someone it’s just ordinary things (cars – cars). But for us, it is a tool for winning this war. We thank you for your help,” said a serviceman of the 112th brigade of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Kondratyuk.

By the way, the “Pickups for Peace” project was started by British farmer Mark Laird, who has been helping Ukraine since 2014. In total, almost 150 cars have already been handed over to the Ukrainian military within the scope of the project.
