Two attempts of illegal importation of goods were prevented by border guards together with customs officers at the Sheghini checkpoint. The men chose night time to cross the border.
A resident of Prykarpattia followed a Mercedes minibus to enter Ukraine. To pass the control, the 41-year-old driver chose the “red corridor” traffic lane. Based on the analysis and risk assessment, the vehicle was sent for additional inspection. During a joint inspection with operatives in the baggage compartment, the border guard found 30 Starlink satellite systems.
Another Mercedes driver was stopped at the same checkpoint. When entering the territory of the checkpoint, the driver directed the car to the “green corridor” traffic lane. During the inspection, the inspection team discovered the goods, which were being moved with concealment. In the luggage compartment, our 55-year-old compatriot tried to import 7 Dyson stylers into Ukraine.
According to these facts, the customs officers drew up protocols. Undeclared goods, the value of which is determined, are removed in the established order.
