Wounded civilians were taken to Lviv from Slovyansk and Bakhmut by special train: they are hospitalized in the hospital of the First TMO

Doctors Without Borders is conducting a medical evacuation of patients from cities under constant Russian fire to safer parts of our country. Patients with mines and other injuries are transported by special train from the east to the west of the country so that they can be provided with all necessary medical care in safety. Today 48 people were taken to Lviv from Slovyansk and Bakhmut.

“Today, 48 Ukrainians who suffered from the fighting were evacuated from Slovyansk and Bakhmut to Lviv. They arrived by a special train to transport the wounded. Thank you to Doctors Without Borders and Ukrzaliznytsia for the organization!

Among the evacuees are people in wheelchairs, patients with mine injuries. All of them will continue treatment in city medical institutions.

Among those who were taken to Lviv by special train, 27 people were injured, 17 patients needed to be transported by ambulance. Among the arriving patients, 16 are in wheelchairs. There are patients with explosive and other types of injuries, one patient – with psychiatric trauma. All of them are hospitalized in the hospitals of the First TMO of Lviv for professional medical care.
