The first volunteer fire brigade of the Yavoriv district is preparing to start work.
Since last year, our community has been participating in the project “Firefighters. Improving civil protection in Ukraine at the local level”, which is implemented by the International Solidarity Fund (Republic of Poland) within the framework of the “U-LEAD with Europe” program.
Thanks to the project, a building for the fire brigade was built in the village of Buniv, and volunteers received a fire truck from the Yavorivske RU of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region. As a result of cooperation with BGK (Bank of Regional Economy) and with EU funding, Bunev’s volunteer team received the necessary fire equipment: generator, fire equipment, uniform, fire hoses, motor pumps, ladders, chainsaw, and more. Volunteers are now undergoing training together with the State Emergency Service.
Participants of the volunteer brigade receive theoretical and practical knowledge of actions in emergency situations for civil protection of the population.
