The Irish donated a minibus and humanitarian aid to the Rozdil orphanage

This took place within the framework of cooperation between the Lviv UWA, the Bezobmezhen Charitable Foundation and the Irish organisation Effective Aid Ukraine (EAU).

Today, on 2 October, in Lviv, a volunteer group from Ireland handed over a Ford passenger minibus and other humanitarian aid to the children of the Rozdil orphanage. This was part of the cooperation between the Lviv UIA, the Bezobmezhen Charitable Foundation and the Irish organisation Effective Aid Ukraine (EAU).

The minibus will be used to transport the children of the orphanage, so they can participate in more activities. In addition to the minibus, the institution received new clothes and tools for housekeeping from its Irish partners.

“Part of the funds allocated by the Irish government will be used to support children in Lviv region. We want every child in need to have access to nutritious food and a healthy lifestyle,” said Tom McEnany, Effective Aid Ukraine representative.

Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv regional administration, stressed the importance of international support.

“This assistance is a testament to the true friendship and cooperation that is growing between our countries. We are grateful to our Irish partners for their significant contribution to supporting our children, especially those who need help the most,” said the head of the region.

As a reminder, on 3 January, Lviv UWA, the Bezobmezhen Foundation and the Irish organisation Effective Aid Ukraine (EAU) signed a memorandum of assistance to the Rozdil Orphanage.

Within the framework of the memorandum, EDU engages reliable partners to meet the needs of the Rozdil Children’s Residential Care Home. This time, the partner was an Irish organisation that met the need for a passenger minibus to transport the boys.

Since the beginning of 2024, it has been purchased and delivered to the orphanage:

industrial laundry equipment, a washing machine and a dryer, worth more than 20 thousand euros;
paid for a greenhouse and its installation, where the boys have already started growing greens (170 thousand hryvnias);
donated a pallet of new clothes and stationery.
