Leaders of Lviv region communities are urged to conduct an inventory of facilities for displaced persons

Every city must have its own clear visions and reserves where Ukrainians who need asylum during the war can be sheltered. Such places should be provided with basic – the opportunity to spend the night, take a shower, warm up after the road.

According to Ivan Sobko, deputy head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, community leaders should conduct an inventory on their territories of those facilities that are 90-95% ready to provide accommodation for IDPs, primarily for women, children and the elderly.

“These may be facilities where, with high-quality and immediate investment, shelters for migrants can be built.

I would ask the leaders of large communities to take an active position and responsibility. Every city must have its own clear vision and reserves where people can still be sheltered, “said Ivan Sobko.
