Lviv Region Faces Frequent Dry Vegetation Fires: 9 Incidents Extinguished

Within one day, 9 fires were recorded in the Lviv region, including dry grass and shrubs, covering a total area of over 3,550 square meters. These incidents affected several districts, including Drohobych, Yavoriv, Lviv, and Stryi districts.

More than 40 firefighters and 9 units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fires. In some cases, local residents managed to prevent the spread of the fire before the arrival of rescue units.

Please note: burning waste in open areas is illegal and subject to fines. In addition to being a legislative violation, it poses a serious threat to the environment, human health, and can lead to the spread of fire over large areas.

The Lviv region rescue service calls for citizen responsibility and urges anyone with the slightest suspicion of a fire to immediately call the emergency number 101.
