Two of the four machines will be handed over for the needs of the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
Today, June 3, a special transport from benefactors was handed over near Lviv OVA. Four cars were handed over to the main office of the state emergency service in the Lviv region.
“I am extremely grateful to the organization Freunde helfen Konvoi, the name of which speaks for itself, because only friends can help when it is necessary and provide a shoulder when such help is extremely important. This next transfer of machines would not have been possible without the support of the People’s Self-Defence of Lviv region, which also does everything for our victory. I am sure that with such support, both from within the country and from foreign partners, we will be able to defeat the enemy and rebuild everything he damaged,” emphasized the head of Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi.
The representative of the organization “Freunde helfen Konvoi gGmbH” Vanessa Goldysh said that the purchase of machines and necessary equipment cost 2.5 million hryvnias.
“We sincerely hope that these vehicles will be useful right here in Ukraine, and we will continue our humanitarian convoys to meet the needs of fire departments in this difficult time. It is an honor for us to be here, because the Ukrainians have become true friends for us, whom we willingly want to help for further victory. These machines will help rescuers do their job and save human lives,” said Vanessa Goldysh.
Yuri Kagitin, head of the State Emergency Service Department in the Lviv region, said that two vehicles will be transferred to the territorial units of the State Emergency Service of the Lviv region, while the others will be on combat duty in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
The representative of the public organization “People’s Self-Defense of Lviv region” Valery Veremchuk said that the cars are ready for use and do not need any additional equipment.
“Our German partners managed to purchase these machines at their cost price, because they cost much more. They are used, but in very good condition, because they came on their own from Germany and are fully equipped with everything necessary to help rescuers in fighting fires and other emergency situations. The package even includes oxygen cylinders, which are important when extinguishing fires in closed rooms without oxygen,” added Valery Veremchuk.
In general, the German organization managed to transfer about two dozen machines of a similar class since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
