The Drohobych Youth Council met with the mayor once again: what are the youth’s concerns and what projects are they planning to implement?

Recently, the mayor of Drohobych met with representatives of the Youth Council. The conversation was held in a friendly atmosphere over coffee at the local Kabinet coffee shop. Such meetings are organised by the Department of Family and Youth of the City Council.

Taras Kuchma talked to the active youth about their involvement in the processes taking place in the Drohobych community, listened to the ideas that the young activists would like to implement in their hometown and stressed the importance of young people growing up conscious. The young people also discussed a recent unfortunate incident that took place between students of the community. They discussed the topic of bullying and violence in the modern world and relationships between peers.

Ukraine is going through very difficult times today – there is a fierce struggle for every piece of our land. I am glad that such active, conscious and cool young people are growing up in our city, who are the driving force behind many positive changes. I am also pleased that you are joining the training camp for soldiers, because you understand the importance of everyone working to support the army and bring the Victory closer. We are proud of you, proud of your achievements and your growth. Every year you surprise us with your ideas and projects. You are our pride, you are the ones who will create a new, independent and free Ukraine,” Taras Kuchma addressed the youth.

During the meeting, the ambitious young people also spoke about the projects they intend to implement in the Drohobych community in the near future. They talked about organising an ethnic festival for students and youth of the territorial community, as well as charity initiatives aimed at raising funds for the military. The mayor, in turn, showed his full support to the young community activists in the development of new projects.
