A member of the Sokal village of the OUN-UPA Brotherhood of Soldiers, an honorary citizen of Sokal, the last participant in the liberation struggle in the Sokal region, a member of the “Insurgent” choir – SAVKA MAKSYM VASYLOVYCH died at the age of 98.

The sad news was reported by the Sokal City Council.

He was an active participant in the fighting of the UPA in 1942-1945. in Sokal and Radekhiv regions, worked in the UPA Security Service, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He served his sentence in Omsk, later returned to Sokal, where he lived until his last days. At Easter, the Lord called him to Himself.
