A 16-year-old skier was injured on Mount Trostyan

Yesterday, January 24, a 16-year-old boy from Lviv injured his left leg while skiing on Mount Trostyan. Rescuers of the Slavske search and rescue group provided first aid to the victim and brought him down to the foot of the mountain, where he was handed over to doctors for further assistance.

The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Lviv region reminds of the rules of safe skiing

– keep a safe speed that will give you time for additional maneuvering to avoid a collision;
– do not abuse alcohol while skiing, because the reaction time is reduced significantly;
– wear protective equipment.

Remember that in places of mass skiing, an unskilled and, most importantly, undisciplined skier is a serious danger both to others and to yourself.
