Operation “Pedestrian” launched in Lviv region

Since the beginning of the year, 572 road accidents involving pedestrians have occurred on the roads of Lviv and the region, in which 60 pedestrians were killed and 520 others were injured. Out of this number, 90 accidents were caused by pedestrians who were not aware of the danger they were in.

In order to prevent deaths and injuries on the road, patrol police response teams, together with community police officers, conduct daily preventive work with road users.

Lviv police officers identify and record violations of traffic rules by drivers and pedestrians. Therefore, they urge you to strictly follow them.

– Pedestrians – cross the carriageway in the designated places and with all safety measures.

– Drivers – do not exceed the permitted and safe driving speed, especially in populated areas, in adverse road and weather conditions, and in conditions of low visibility.

– Carefully monitor the situation on the road and do not be distracted from driving.

Be responsible!
