World War II ammunition, despite its size and considerable age, is extremely dangerous, rescue workers emphasize.
On June 11, at 1:00 p.m., the pyrotechnic group of the 2nd special rapid response center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine recovered and destroyed a FAB-50 aerial bomb from World War II.
The ammunition was discovered the day before in the village of Sknyliv of the Lviv district during earthworks on the territory of the dacha cooperative.
The head office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region reminds that ammunition from the Second World War, despite its size and considerable age, is extremely dangerous.
Remember that it is strictly forbidden to:
touch a suspicious object or move it;
pour it with liquids, cover it with soil or cover it with something;
apply sound, light, heat or mechanical impact on the suspicious object, because almost all explosive substances are sensitive to mechanical, sound impact and heating;
try to neutralize the find yourself.
“If you find an explosive or suspicious object, immediately report the dangerous find by calling 101 or 102!”, the rescuers emphasized.
