As reported by LKP “Green City”, in October, the city composting station located on the street More than 729 tons of garden and park waste and about 266 tons of food waste came to Plastova, 13. All residents and guests of the city have the opportunity to dispose of food waste in separate containers and properly dispose of fallen leaves, branches and dry remains of vegetation without harming the environment.
“In October, the composting station received 729,440 kg of garden waste and 265,750 kg of food waste. A total of 995,190 kg of organics were received. Currently, 1,537 containers for organics have been installed, which is 99% of all container sites in the city. That is, all residents and guests of our city have the opportunity to sort food waste at home and throw it into separate bins.

As a reminder, the following waste can be thrown into organic containers:
· leftovers of raw vegetables and fruits;
· egg shell;
· flour products, leftover confectionery products;
· brew from tea without bags, leftover coffee;
· mowed grass;
· withered flowers.
Instead, you can not throw in containers for organics:
· meat, fish, dairy and fatty products;
solid household waste;
· glass and glass containers;
· plastic, balls, bags, packaging waste, tetra-pac;
napkins and paper products;
fabric products.
