The traffic accident happened on August 14 around 3:00 p.m. in one of the villages of the Sambir district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Citroen Verlingo, a 35-year-old resident of Lviv, hit an 11-year-old boy, a local resident, who was riding a scooter. As a result of the collision, the boy was injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Sambir district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
