On 5 September, at 11:59 a.m., the Rescue Service received a report of an emergency in the village of Luky, Sambir district, on Shevchenko Street.
In a private household, a 74-year-old woman fell into a well while collecting water from a well. As it turned out, the bucket in the well broke off, and the old woman, trying to get it, tipped over and fell. Fortunately, the woman managed to grab the walls of the well with her hands and avoid diving into the water, as the depth of the well was almost 12 metres.
The first to respond to the cries for help was a neighbour who heard a voice coming from the depths of the well. It was she who called the rescuers.
Rescuers from the 41st State Fire and Rescue Post of Rudky, an operational group from the Sambir District Administration and an ambulance crew arrived at the scene.
Using an assault ladder and a rescue rope, the rescuers pulled the woman to the surface and handed her over to paramedics. The victim was hospitalised at the Sambir Central Hospital.
