Mountain rescuers found a mushroom picker in Stryi district
Yesterday at 19:42, it was reported that a 69-year-old resident of Skole had gotten lost in the forest near Mount Parashka while picking mushrooms.
The grandfather went to the forest in the afternoon, but lost his way and got lost. Due to his health conditions, the elderly man has to take his heart medication at certain times, but he did not take it with him on his quiet hunt.
There was a telephone connection with the lost man, through which the rescuers could contact him. At the time of the search, it was already dark, and the area where the elderly mushroom picker was likely to be was densely overgrown with vegetation, so the rescuers used quadcopters with thermal imagers.
At 23:29, the lost man was found between Mount Parashka and the Perekhrestny tract. Rescuers took the elderly man out of the forest thickets and handed him over to paramedics. After examination, the old man refused to be hospitalised.
The search operation involved 12 rescuers and 3 units of special equipment.
