Stryi district: fire destroyed a residential building
On 23 September, at 12:57 a.m., rescuers received a report of a fire in a wooden one-storey residential building in the village of Zhupany, Stryi district.
Fire and rescue units from the town of Skole and the village of Slavske, as well as rescuers from the village of Nyzhni Vorota, Zakarpattia region, were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, the house was already fully engulfed in flames. There was a threat of the fire spreading to neighbouring buildings.
The locals, aware of the danger, tried to extinguish the fire on their own before the arrival of the emergency services.
The fire was extinguished at 15:25. Two neighbouring buildings were saved.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
