The flow of people and transport increased on the Ukrainian-Polish border

Traditionally, with the approach of the Christmas and New Year holidays, border guards record an increase in passenger flow at checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border.

Over the past three days, 42,000 citizens and 8,500 vehicles crossed the state border within Lviv Oblast per day. In general, the number of missed persons per day increased by 8,000, and the number of vehicles – by 1,000.

The largest accumulations of passenger vehicles are observed at checkpoints “Krakivets”, “Shegyna”, “Grushiv” and “Rava-Ruska”. It is worth noting that border guards record queues of cars both in the direction of exit from Ukraine and in the direction of entry.

Passenger buses mostly choose Sheghini and Krakivets checkpoints to cross the border. We would like to remind you that the passage of this category of transport to the exit is carried out according to the Queue.

At the “Sheghini” checkpoint, accumulation of up to 30 people is also periodically noted. Note that this is the only checkpoint on the border with Poland where it is possible to cross the border on foot.

Citizens are asked to take this information into account when planning their trips and monitor the traffic of checkpoints on the official Facebook page of the Western Regional Administration.
