Yavoriv district: firefighters save combine harvester from destruction by fire
On 21 September, at 16:59, rescuers received a report of a fire in the village of Chernyliava, Yavoriv district. The fire started in a Claas Mercator 60 combine harvester.
Rescuers from the 23rd State Fire and Rescue Unit of Yavoriv were sent to the scene.
When the firefighters arrived at the scene, the combine’s engine compartment was on fire over an area of 2 square metres. As it turned out, the combine caught fire in the field during harvesting.
At 17:10, firefighters contained the fire, and at 17:20 they extinguished it and saved the combine from complete destruction.
Three rescuers and one unit of special equipment were involved in the firefighting operations.
