The head of the Lviv OVA presented a state award to an employee of the Lviv railway

Today, July 4, the 18th regular session of the Lviv Regional Council began its work.

During the session, the head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, presented the Order “For Merit of the III degree” to Nataliya Svyrid, a station attendant of the “Lviv Station” structural subdivision of the Lviv Railway regional branch.

The relevant Decree on the state award was signed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi. According to the document, the order was awarded for significant merits in strengthening Ukrainian statehood, a significant personal contribution to the development of various spheres of public life, conscientious and impeccable performance of professional duties.

Natalia Svyrid has been working at the Lviv railway station for over 40 years. The beginning of a full-scale war caught the woman at work.

“Sometimes the greatest heroism and courage is in the midst of chaos to focus on what you can do best and just do it. That day, at 5 in the morning, Ms. Natalya received a phone call from her son, a border guard, with the words: “Mom, war.” As early as 8 o’clock, frightened people began to arrive en masse. Her next shift lasted 48 hours. The whole team helped – station employees, volunteers, security forces and law enforcement officers. Thank you for your work and may your dream – to meet the first peaceful train – come true as soon as possible”, – emphasized the head of Lviv Oblast.

So, there are more than 30 issues on the agenda of the session. The deputies plan to listen to the reports of the heads of 8 regional communal hospitals and to approve the newly elected heads of psychoneurological social institutions at the competition.

During the session, they will also hear information from the State Emergency Service and representatives of local self-government regarding the elimination of the consequences of the emergency situation that occurred in Skhidnytsia and Skolivska communities due to the flood.
