Already the 11th humanitarian convoy of German volunteers on the initiative of Water4Ukraine has delivered 4 buses for front-line water utilities, fire engines and cars for Lvivvodokanal to Lviv
So, buses will be sent for the Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv water utilities, fire trucks – for the legendary Chornobayivka in the Kherson Region, and Lviv Water Supply received a Volkswagen T4 car with a body.
“This time there were 18 people in the German delegation. Most of them have already become good friends for us, because it is not the first time in Ukraine and Lviv. It is nice to note that the “Water4Ukraine” family is growing. In every trip, there are new volunteers who, despite the continuation of the war, are not afraid to cross the border and go to Ukraine,” Lvivvodokanal LMKP reports.
We remind you that the Water4Ukraine initiative was born a year ago. The founder and main promoter of the initiative in Germany is Elmar Thyen, and on the Ukrainian side, the work is supervised by the deputy director of LMKP “Lvivvodokanal” Volodymyr Bilinskyi.
During this time, 11 humanitarian convoys with technical assistance and vehicles for water utilities were carried out. Volunteers are involved in it, who carry out the transportation of all cargo at their own expense on their own initiative. Assistance in the delivery of goods across the border is carried out by NGO LEF, and LMKP “Lvivvodokanal” traditionally acts as a hub where equipment is delivered from Germany and from where it is picked up by representatives of other water companies. Part of the aid remains for the Lviv utility companies, and the lion’s share is given to front-line water utilities after prior agreement with German partners.
