The new railway route Chernivtsi – Rava-Ruska – Warsaw provides a convenient connection between Ukraine and Poland for travellers.

On 15 December, a new international connecting train No. 866/865-766/765 will start operating between Chernivtsi, Rava-Ruska and Warsaw. This route will allow residents of the western regions of Ukraine, including Bukovyna and Pokuttya, to quickly reach Polish cities such as Lublin and Warsaw. For the first time, Ukrainian cities are now able to provide comfortable transport with transfers that take into account the convenience of passengers.

The train schedule takes into account the needs of residents of different regions. The train departs from Chernivtsi at 07:03, from Ternopil at 11:12, and arrives in Rava-Ruska at 15:19. After a short transfer to a Polish train, passengers reach Lublin at 19:59 and Warsaw at 22:20. In the opposite direction, the journey starts at 05:40 from Warsaw Central and arrives in Chernivtsi at 22:46.

The new route also takes into account passengers from Korosten, Rivne and Dubno. Residents of these cities can conveniently transfer to Intercity+ trains or regional flights in Lviv. For example, passengers from Rivne can depart at 06:46 and continue their journey to Warsaw after changing trains in Lviv. In the opposite direction, the same facilities are provided for a comfortable return to their hometowns.

According to representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia, the main goal of the new route is “to create a reliable transport connection between Ukraine and Poland, which will provide passengers with comfort and convenience”. The first flight is an important step for the development of international rail transport, contributing to closer integration of the two countries.

In addition to the convenience of transfers, the timetable is designed to ensure that passengers have enough time to rest between flights. In particular, the waiting time in Rava-Ruska is only 37 minutes, which minimises the inconvenience of changing trains.

This route is an important addition to the existing railway network of Ukrzaliznytsia. It opens up new opportunities for international connections and supports the mobility of citizens travelling for work, study or leisure.

The launch of the Chernivtsi-Rava-Ruska-Warsaw route marks a new era in the development of Ukrainian rail transport, which is becoming increasingly integrated with the European transport system.
