Firefighters rescued a woman during a fire in a residential building in Lviv

Lviv: rescuers took a woman born in 1953 out of a burning house

On June 20, at 5:46 p.m., the Rescue Service “101” received a report about a fire in the city of Lviv on the street Bryukhovytska. The fire started in a brick residential building covered with slate, measuring 10×12 m.

When firefighters arrived at the scene of the call, tongues of flame were shooting out from the roof of the building.

Due to heavy smoke, the firefighters had to work in special respiratory and eye protection devices.

During the investigation of the fire, rescuers found a woman on the second floor of the building, who was taken out into the fresh air and handed over to medics.

The victim was a woman born in 1953, a tenant of the house. After medical examination, the victim was hospitalized in a serious condition with burns in the St. Panteleimon Hospital of the first territorial association of the city of Lviv.

At 6:38 p.m., firefighters localized the fire and extinguished it at 6:45 p.m.

As a result of the fire, the fire destroyed household items on an area of 50 square meters, damaged the ceiling on an area of 100 square meters. and walls on an area of 100 sq.m.

30 personnel and 5 units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The causes and circumstances of the fire are being established.
