The assistance was provided within the framework of the cross-border cooperation program, which has been in effect since 2014.
The Mazovian Voivodeship, together with the representatives of the Marshalka administration, have once again shown their deep support and friendship to the Lviv region. They provided humanitarian aid in the form of 828 mattresses for medical institutions. This initiative is part of the cross-border cooperation program, which has been operating since 2014 and aims to strengthen ties and support between regions.
“We would like to express our gratitude to Maksym Kozytsky for the fact that he very actively supports health care institutions and constantly takes steps to provide them with not just humanitarian aid, but high-class and very high-quality aid. We will distribute these mattresses to the wards for both adult patients and children, as well as to the intensive care unit,” thanked Andrii Orfin, deputy director of the medical department of the Lviv Regional Infectious Disease Hospital.
The humanitarian aid provided by Polish partners is intended to ease the conditions of patients’ stay in medical institutions of the Lviv region. This is an important step in providing comfortable conditions for those who need proper treatment and care.
“Today I am presenting two children’s institutions: the Western Ukrainian Medical Center and the Clinical Center of Children’s Medicine, which used to be called “Okhmatdyt”. 63 mattresses go to each of our institutions: to surgical departments, pediatric departments, as well as to those where there is a need. Such things are often not given due attention, because the priority is usually medicines and medical equipment. These are routine things, but they are necessarily important for treatment, because they ensure both patient safety and comfort. Thank you very much for this help, we are happy, I am sure that the patients will also be satisfied,” said Olena Kozlova, medical director of the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center.
The delivery of aid was ensured by the cooperation of the Department of International Technical Assistance and International Cooperation with the Religious Mission of Caritas Spes Lviv Archdiocese. This is another example of fruitful cooperation between various structures and organizations for the benefit of people and support of medical institutions in difficult times.
“This is already the third batch of aid from the Mazovian Voivodeship to our region, which was provided within the framework of the cross-border cooperation program. We previously received household appliances, as well as hygiene products and portable charging stations from our partners. Soon there will be a fourth batch, in which Polish colleagues will donate pillows and blankets,” said Iryna Butynets, director of the MTD and international cooperation department of the Lviv OVA.
