“It’s easier together: how IDP women integrate into the Novoyavoriv territorial community

On April 25, a press tour of journalists from the TV channels Suspilne Lviv, STB, Espresso, and ZAXID.NET was held in the Novoyavoriv community. The purpose of the meeting is to show how the forcibly displaced persons live and get used to in the Novoyavoriv community.

The media talked with the mayor, visited the dormitory of the Novoyavoriv Higher Vocational College, where IDPs live, and also got to know the bright personalities of our community who came to us at the beginning of the war. At the end, an excursion took place in the Novoyavoriv Museum of Local Lore, a center of cultural integration of IDPs and art therapy. The event took place within the framework of the Women’s New Horizons project (advocacy support for internally displaced women in the Lviv region), which is implemented by the NGO Center “Women’s Perspectives” with the support of the UN Women Ukraine project “Transformative approaches to achieve gender equality in Ukraine” and financed The Government of Sweden in cooperation with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
