During the war, Poland helped Ukrainians the most, and the border became a lifeline for many refugees
Today a delegation from Hrubieszów visited the Sokal region – Mayor Marta Majewska, Deputy Mayor Pavel Wojciechowski, as well as the mayor of the Suszec commune Zbigniew Naklitski (Republic of Poland).
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, they have handed over to Ukraine more than 30 cargoes of humanitarian aid: food, medicine, hygiene products, etc.
Mayor Serhiy Kasyan thanked the guests from the Sokal Territorial Community for their personal contribution and assistance during the Russian-Ukrainian war. Polish colleagues have promised to continue to help refugees from Ukraine and send humanitarian aid.
