Today, November 17, at 3:24 p.m. in Lviv on the street Tram No. 1 smoked before turning to the railway station in Horodotskyi. According to Lviv Electrotrans LLP, the passengers were not injured. The smoke did not originate in the interior of the tram, but outside – in the area of the linear contactor. Instead of the damaged car, a backup vehicle is running on the line.
“The situation that happened today on the street Horodotskyi, it happened due to the failure of the linear contactor: namely, in the lower part of the tram, there was smoke in the area of the linear contactor. Engineers and technicians of the tram depot of “Lvivelectrotrans” LKP will find out all the reasons for the failure of the equipment.
The damaged car was towed to the tram depot for speedy recovery. As a result of the incident, except for the electrical equipment of the car, no one was injured.
To replace this tram car, a reserve vehicle entered the line,” Lviv Electrotrans LLP reported.
