Forecasters warned of a high fire danger on June 22-23 in the Lviv region

The Lviv Regional Center for Hydrometeorology warns that on June 22-23, a high (class 4), sometimes extreme (class 5) fire hazard is expected in the Lviv region.

The City Hall of Lviv urges everyone to observe fire safety rules and not to burn dry vegetation, and also not to forget to call “102” and “103” when they see such fires and piles.

By the way, for arbitrarily burning dry grass, fallen leaves and other plant residues, which is prohibited in Ukraine, citizens face a fine of 3,060 to 6,120 UAH, and for officials – from 15,300 to 21,420 UAH. For the same actions committed on the territory of nature reserves, paliyas face a fine in the amount of 6,120 to 12,240 hryvnias. And in wartime, such actions are equated with sabotage, which entails criminal liability (imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years).
