Forecasters predict a high fire danger for tomorrow in the territory of Lviv Oblast

The Lviv Regional Center for Hydrometeorology reported that a high (class 4) fire hazard is expected in the city on September 30.

We urge you to follow the rules of fire safety and not to burn dry vegetation.

The City Department for Emergency Situations, Civil Protection and Territorial Defense reminds that the arbitrary burning of dry grass, fallen leaves, and other plant remains, which is prohibited in Ukraine, is punishable by a fine ranging from UAH 3,060 to UAH 6,120, and for officials persons – from UAH 15,300 to UAH 21,420.

For the same actions committed on the territory of nature reserves, paliyas face a fine in the amount of UAH 6,120 to UAH 12,240. And in wartime, such actions are equated with sabotage, which entails criminal liability (imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years).

Citizens are also reminded not to forget to call “102” and “103” when they see the burning of dry vegetation and piles.
