In 2023, the Lviv community transferred 210 million hryvnias to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Another part of the funds is undergoing the financing procedure or at the procurement stage. This was announced by the first deputy mayor of Lviv, Andriy Moskalenko.
“In general, the budget for 2023 provided half a billion hryvnias for the support of the Armed Forces. At the last session of the city council, deputies supported the proposal to provide an additional 100 million hryvnias. All expenditures are made within the framework of the city-wide program of support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, initiated by the mayor and heads of all factions,” says Andriy Moskalenko, first deputy mayor of Lviv.
It should be noted that Lviv constantly allocates funds to the defense capability and support of the military, which protects Ukraine from the Russian invaders. Recently, the defenders were given MARA reconnaissance unmanned aerial systems, Starlink terminals, portable radio stations and quadcopters, tablets and protective covers and memory cards, a car, as well as a bath and laundry complex and a car for the medical service.
