The “Don’t be silent” project was launched in the Chervonohrad territorial community

In the Chervonograd Territorial Community, the “Do not be silent” project was launched, which is aimed at spreading awareness among the population about the problem of domestic and gender-based violence; about the formation of zero tolerance for violence and changes in destructive social norms that lead to violence.

As part of this project, on May 2, a round table was held in the Chervonograd City Council with the involvement of partners, representatives of the executive committee of the Chervonograd City Council, local media, public activists, employees of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Chervonograd City Center of Social Services, the Territorial Center, and the Department of Education and active residents who take a progressive position and have a desire to change established destructive social norms in the community.

The concept of the round table was an in-depth study of attitudes and beliefs about domestic violence in our community. As part of the round table, the participants drew up a plan for further actions, which focuses on joint problem solving and readiness to jointly implement activities to prevent domestic violence.

The material was prepared within the framework of cooperation between UNFPA and NGO “Innovative Social Solutions”.
