The traffic accident occurred on August 27, around 07:30, on the Lviv-Lutsk highway in the village of Sobanivka, Chervonograd district.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a Ford Focus driven by a 51-year-old resident of the Volyn region and a VAZ-2101 driven by a 31-year-old resident of the same region.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the VAZ-2101 and his passenger, a 55-year-old resident of the Volyn region, were injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Chervonohrad district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
As reported by the State Emergency Service of Lviv region, rescuers from the 21st State Fire and Rescue Department of the city of Radehiv and the 18th State Fire and Rescue Department of the city of Kamianka-Buzka went to the scene of the incident. As it turned out at the scene, as a result of the accident, the driver of the VAZ-2101 car, a man born in 1992, was trapped by the deformed structures of the car. With the help of a special tool, the rescuers unblocked the injured man and handed him over to medics.
As a result of the accident, the passenger of the VAZ-2101 car, a man born in 1968, was also injured.
The medics hospitalized two victims with injuries of varying severity in the Chervonograd Central City Hospital.
7 personnel and 2 units of special equipment were involved in the liquidation of the consequences of the road accident.
