In Dublyany on the street Shevchenko will be a park. In the future, it should become a large public space. In this way, more than 5 hectares of land were saved from potential development.
The corresponding decision was approved the day before at the session of the city council.
In the resolution of the session “On approving the list and borders of the public squares of the Shevchenkiv district of Lviv” it is said: “to agree with the editorial correction regarding the definition of this area as a park; oblige LKP “Zeleny Lviv” to take this plot into balance and develop project documentation.” At the same time, the Department of Architecture and Urbanism must adjust the urban planning documentation.
“Such an algorithm of actions is caused, first of all, by the fact that we are talking about an area that is somewhat atypical for public squares – more than 5 hectares. But since these are lands for public development, on which there is a lake and green areas, it was decided to act in this way for the further processing of documents. In the future, these 5 hectares will be combined with the recently created square on the same street, with an area of 0.619 hectares, into a large recreation area with a lake. The city has already received consent from the previous balance holder of the reservoir – the local university,” explained the department of the city agglomeration of the LMR.
