An inverter exploded in an apartment on Knyahynyi Olhy Street
According to the Frankivsk District Administration, an inverter exploded in an apartment at 100i Knyahynyi Olhy Street this morning.
Firefighters extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading further. The resident of the apartment suffered first- and second-degree burns and was hospitalised at St Luke’s Hospital.
Experts will check the gas networks in the building and whether the premises were wet after the fire was extinguished. A preliminary version of the cause of the incident is non-compliance with the inverters’ operating rules.
“The building where the incident occurred belongs to the Dobra Oselya condominium. The fire started in an apartment on the second floor due to an inverter explosion. Since there was a long air raid alert, specialists can only inspect the gas networks in the building and check whether there is significant wetting of the premises after the fire has been extinguished,” the Frankivsk District Administration explained.
