A 9-storey residential building was on fire in Lviv

On 28 September at 19:28, the Rescue Service 101 received a report of a fire in a nine-storey residential building in Lviv on Zubrivska Street.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Lviv Oblast.

When the rescuers arrived at the scene, smoke was pouring out of the windows of the apartment where the fire started.
Due to the smoke, firefighters had to work in special respiratory and visual protection devices.

Not all of the residents of the building were able to go outside on their own, so the rescuers brought 24 people out of the smoky apartments, three of them children.

At 19:45, firefighters contained and at 19:49 eliminated the fire with an area of 5 square metres. No one was injured in the fire.

The fire was extinguished by 10 rescuers and 3 units of special equipment.

The cause of the fire is being established by law enforcement.
