In Lviv, a company seized city land to sell cars: law enforcement is investigating the case

A car dealership seized municipal land. They set up a car sales area there, and pay nothing to the city budget for the use of the land.

This was reported by the Lviv City Council.

The city appealed to the police and the prosecutor’s office. They are also preparing a lawsuit.

For several years now, the limited liability company Boss Auto Ukraine has been selling cars imported from Europe and the United States on Kulparkivska Street, near house number 222 and a large shopping and entertainment center.

According to the city planning department of the Lviv City Council, the entrepreneurs seized about 30 acres of municipal land to set up a platform for selling vehicles.

At one time, part of this plot was allocated to the capital construction department of the housing and communal services department for the construction of a future traffic interchange from Kulparkivska Street to Paton Street.

“The owners of the company do not have any documents that would give them the right to use this land. Lviv City Council has not made any relevant decisions. There is also no information on registered property rights to this land plot in the State Register of Property Rights and the Register of Real Estate Ownership Rights,” the department of state control over the use and protection of land in Lviv said.

Earlier, the department’s employees had already asked the company’s owners to vacate the illegally occupied communal land. But the entrepreneurs ignored the city’s demands, so the state control department sent statements to the regional prosecutor’s office and the police. It is known that the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office is already investigating the case with obvious signs of a criminal offense.

At the same time, the materials of the site inspection were sent to the legal department of the Lviv City Council. They are already preparing a statement of claim to the court to vacate the illegally occupied land plot.

As a reminder, the Department of State Control over the Use and Protection of Land of the Lviv City Council monitors the use of land plots on the territory of the Lviv community. Such actions, in particular, help to identify violators who use the community’s land for car sales without permits.
