A renewed fountain has been put into operation in Stryi Park. Restoration of the fountain took more than two months. First, they restored the damaged sculpture “Ivasyka-Telesyka” and repaired the bowl of the fountain. Now the restored and painted water feature is ready to delight visitors again.
The park spent about 200,000 hryvnias on restoration work. Sculptor-restorer Andrii Fedoryshyn worked on the restoration of the “Ivasyk-Telesyk” sculpture. Together with his team, he restored the sculpture and the fountain. The bowl of the fountain was also plastered, and the sculptures of Ivasik and swans were covered with special paint.
In Stryi Park, they say that the work has been delayed due to the rainy weather.
“In order to prevent new vandalism, we plan to post announcements and install special signs so that people do not climb into the waterhole. This will also be monitored by the staff of Stryisky Park,” said the head of the park, Olena Mazuryk.
We will remind you that last year the water feature sculpture was damaged by vacationers who tried to climb onto the swans.
