In Lviv, firefighters extinguished a fire in an apartment – 3 people were saved

On April 29, at 11:52 p.m., the Rescue Service “101” received a report about a fire on Knyagini Olga Street, 5 “g” in the city of Lviv. The fire broke out in an apartment on the second floor of a two-story residential building. The city’s fire and rescue department and an operational team were dispatched to the scene.

The fire caused a lot of smoke, so the firefighters turned on special respiratory and vision protection devices and started extinguishing the fire and rescuing people.

The owner, born in 1949, was in the apartment at the time of the fire, and the rescuers brought her out into the fresh air with the help of a rescue device. Also, with the help of rescue devices, 2 people were removed from a neighboring apartment. All the rescued were handed over to emergency medical personnel for examination.

Thanks to the professional work of firefighters and the timely involvement of forces and means, the fire was quickly extinguished. At 00:05, the fire was localized, and at 00:08, it was extinguished by two units of the gas and smoke protection service. However, the fire destroyed a sofa and household items on an area of 15 square meters, and damaged the walls and ceiling on an area of 10 square meters.

17 personnel and 3 units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The causes and circumstances of the fire are being established.
