For almost 10 months now, all public transport in the city has been using cashless fares. And during this time, the positive dynamics of cashless payments has continued to grow.
Currently, 88.8% of passengers have chosen this payment method. Currently, only 11.2% of urban public transport users use the cash payment method in the community.
“Passengers continue to refuse to pay in cash, preferring cashless payments. Thus, since the launch of the e-ticket, cash payments have almost quadrupled. While in December 2023, 44% of passengers bought a paper ticket from the driver, according to the previous week, only 11.2% did so.
As for non-cash payments, transport cards are the most commonly used method of payment. And the number of passengers who choose LeoCard is growing every day. After all, trips with LeoCard are the cheapest and cost UAH 13 when paying with a general card, UAH 6.5 when paying with a student card. In addition, free transfers are available for transport card holders, which makes travel even cheaper,” Lvivavtodor said.
It should be added that to date, residents have issued and purchased more than 426 thousand privileged and general transport cards.
