Lvivavtodor reminds what kind of luggage should be paid for in public transport

Lvavtodor reminds passengers that they have to pay for the transportation of oversized cargo in public transport. The cost of such an additional ticket is UAH 13 for non-cash payments, and UAH 20 for cash payments to the driver.

“You need to pay for the transportation of items that have dimensions of more than 60 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm (simultaneously in all dimensions). And also for items with a length of more than 150 cm and a diameter of more than 10 cm.

However, a bicycle can be transported free of charge, as it is classified as hand luggage. This also applies to light personal transport (scooter, electric unicycle, etc.), baby carriage, sled and wheelchair.

To pay for your trip and baggage through the validator, click the “Add tickets” button on the validator. Select “Baggage” and indicate the amount of baggage you are transporting (your trip registration is automatically pulled up with a tick on the validator screen). Click “Continue” and present the means of payment. You can pay with a personalised, common LeoCard, bank card/ NFC gadget. Wait for the validation confirmation – a green tick on the validator and a single beep,” Lvivavtodor said.

The cost of an additional ticket for baggage in case of cashless payment is UAH 13. A maximum of three additional tickets can be paid for with one card or NFC gadget (regardless of whether it is for baggage or passengers). You can also pay for luggage in cash from the driver – UAH 20 per ticket.

“It should be noted that the controllers check not only fares but also luggage. Be careful and take this into account when travelling by public transport,” the utility said.
