In the “Znesinnia” park, there is a warning about landslide-prone slopes on Mount Leva

As the administration of the regional landscape park “Znesinnia” informs, in the course of engineering and geodetic studies, it was discovered that part of the slopes of Leva Mountain in the park are at risk of landslides. Therefore, visitors are urged to pay attention to the posted information signs and use only a safe, proven route.

“According to the results of engineering and geodetic surveys on Mount Leva in 2022, part of the slopes of the mountain are at risk of landslides. Therefore, park workers, based on scientific recommendations, close the trails in this area. The only safe route to the top of Mount Leva is a path with stairs from Dovbusha Street. The ascent to the top by other paths is dangerous for visitors and for the state of the environment, as the information signs warn about.

It is planned to carry out anti-erosion measures using natural materials on particularly dangerous and closed slopes. Please take note of this information with all responsibility. We want visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of Znesinnia without risking their health and life, and not harming the environment!”, the RLP “Znesinnia” emphasizes.

The park also warns against the inadmissibility of using vehicles, including bicycles, on Mount Leva, as they disturb the unstable soil cover of the slopes and contribute to the intensification of erosion and landslide processes. If vehicles are used on the slopes of the mountain, response measures will be taken, in particular, law enforcement agencies will be called to the scene.
