The police are establishing the identity of the attacker who beat a person in the center of Lviv
Criminal proceedings have been opened for this fact. Measures to establish the identity of the attacker are ongoing.
On August 16, a transgender person reported to the police about the beating. In her statement, it is stated that the day before, on August 15, around 10:20 p.m., an unknown man punched her in the face several times on Staroyevreyska Street in Lviv.
Based on this fact, the law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings. The perpetrator’s actions are classified under Part 1 of Article 161 (Violation of the equality of citizens based on their racial, national, regional affiliation, religious beliefs, disability and other grounds) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the police are taking the necessary measures to identify the perpetrator and bring him to justice.
