Spring flowers are planted in Stryi Park: more than 100,000 bulbs

Spring flowers are planted in Stryi Park. Most of them are tulips, but also snowdrops, daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses, irises, etc. The flowers, more than 100,000 bulbs, were brought from the Netherlands. They were donated to the park by the Ukrainian-Dutch charity fund “Smart Medical Aid”.

As the director of the park, Olena Mazuryk, said, flower bulbs are planted in flowerbeds along the sycamore alley and in other locations of the park. “To date, about 75,000 tulips have already been planted. We have more than 100 types of these flowers. Also, 5,200 crocuses have already been planted,” said Olena Mazuryk.

Today, hyacinths are planted in the park – a total of 4,400 bulbs. They also finish planting about 40 types of daffodils. “Now we will have our own valley of daffodils in Lviv. More than 20,000 of these flowers will bloom in our park in the spring,” Olena Mazuryk added.

We will remind you that earlier the Lviv community also received a gift of Dutch tulips – 125 thousand bulbs. They were planted on the entire territory of Lviv MTG.
